06/04/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Brinkley has it all: good with kids, cats, dogs and strangers. In my book, that spells….”FAMILY DOG”. So, why is this little gem with us? Her long term owners (Brinkley was owned since tender puppyhood) unfortunately, moved to a place not allowing pets. Wonderful comments accompany Brinkley, her main qualities being a sweet and playful pooch. Brinkley is indeed a very loving gal equipped with a great smile and very bright eyes. Her tail is a happy whip that beats enthusiastically the bench she is laying on. She rolls on her side, then on her back for belly rubs. Her forelegs swim in the air. She so wants to be a friend, to belong and to be loved. It feels so good to spend time with a dog who has so much to give without being overbearing. Brinkley comes when called, sits on command and takes treats very properly from my hand. She does pull on the leash, but responds to an order to slow down. She relieves herself in the curb and seems house trained, as indicated by her former masters. She meets other dogs in a very civil way in the street and even saluted a baby French Bulldog. Brinkley is a pretty gal, young at two years of age, healthy and dressed in a cute cinnamon coat. She performed well on her behavioral evaluation, making her a very good candidate for adoption. I hope that her award winning smile will conquer you and convince you to take her home as your forever best friend. Brinkley is at the Manhattan Care Center.
