10/03/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
During his stay at our care centers, Browney has displayed no social behavior and tolerates minimal handling. Due to his previous bite history in conjunction with behavior displayed in the care centers, the behavior department believes Browney is not an appropriate candidate for an assessment at this time. We recommend Browney be placed with a New Hope Rescue partner that will provide an experienced foster home who can safely and appropriately manage any behavior presented outside of the care centers. A decompression period is highly advised in order to further assess Browney’s behavior in a new home environment before placement into a permanent home. Force-free, reward based training only is advised when introducing/exposing Browney to new and unfamiliar situations.
