Helper Dog: A0981362 Brooks pulls on the leash and was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment – jumped up, licked hands and face. She was excited during some of the handling items, but had soft body language. She engages in play, loose body, wags tail, mouth is open. She was a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language. Brooks was easy to handle when chewing on toys and rawhides and rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Or dog indicates play with huffing, soft ‘popping’ of the body, etc. Squeeze 1 & 2: 2. Dog quickly pulls back. Food: 2. Dog follows the dish with her tail down, body likely a bit stiff. Dog lifts head after a bit of pressure from hand to cheek. Toy: 1. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the toy. Rawhide: 1. Dog takes rawhide away, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the rawhide. Dog-dog: 2. Dog approaches the helper dog, body soft, tail well above spine level, ears relaxed.
