A volunteer writes: A sweeter girl than Brooklyn? Fuhgeddaboudit! She was with her previous family since she was a puppy, so might be a little bit bashful at first in this strange new place, but quickly warms up to be very wiggly and affectionate. She has lived harmoniously with young children and loved to watch them play and let them “pet her for hours.” She always has a clean cage and has been perfect on leash whenever I’ve walked her, staying right at my side and frequently looking up to check in. She hasn’t been particularly interested in any toys I offer her, but is very treat motivated and knows “sit” and “down.” Baby-talking to her sets her tail spinning in a circles and she’ll come over for petting and make soft eye contact (she has the most beautiful bright eyes!). Her previous family tells us that she is mellow and loved sun bathing in the backyard…a perfect girl of modest needs!! She is so easy to be with and so, so sweet…please come meet her at Brooklyn ACC!
For more information on adopting from the NYC AC&C, or to find a rescue to assist, please read the following: http://urgentpodr.org/adoption-info-and-list-of-rescues. If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email [email protected]. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process. * We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.* For more info on behavior codes and ratings, please click here: http://information.urgentpodr.org/acc-placement-status-descriptions.
