They are being surrendered to the shelter because the person who had them, has dementia and cannot properly care for them. The son stated that he has no idea where the dogs came from. He stated that either they followed his mother home after feeding them, or someone gave them to her. They were very well behaved and were fed pedigree dry food. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Rambo and Bridgett allowed all handling, collaring and photos.
07/02/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Belly rubs, kisses and then more belly rubs….Bridgette plays fair – I’ll snuggle with you if you rub my belly, and rub it some more, and some more! Gently sleeping when I found her she stood as I unlatched her door and stepped out easily. Taking care of her business was a priority and when done with that we snuggled, she rolled over, she kissed, she sat and gave me her paw – she’s a gem! Bridgette has been a mom many times, and it’s her turn to be coddled and loved for the sweetheart of a dog she is. She’s great on leash, her manners can’t be beat and she’s just so genuinely lovely that our behavior team feels she’ll do well in a home with average dog experience. Bridgette is all about her people and doesn’t want to share you with another dog, so it’s recommended that she be the one and only in her new home. Honestly – you won’t want to share her either! The undisputed Queen of Snuggles and Belly Rubs is waiting to meet you and she needs you tonight. Let’s not make her wait.
