03/29/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
03/29/16 13:11hrs Brandy has been cared for by her owner for the past year and a half. She is described as reserved, quiet and friendly. She has lived with a 4 year old child. She is tolerant of the child, allowing petting but will walk off on her own if she doesn’t want to be bothered. Her owner stated that she was in a house fire years ago and has since been unable to bark. She may make a honking sound if she is left alone for too long. She has been living with a Jack Russell terrier and pit-bull. Brandy is comfortable being around them and will eat alongside them but she stays to herself. When Brandy notices other dogs outside, she will stay to herself and stare at them. She will allow other dogs to approach her and sniff her. BEHAVIOR Brandy spends most of her day lying around or following her owner around. Brandy is bathed every two weeks and will sit calmly and allow her owner to bathe her. Brandy will allow her owner to trim her nails. She won’t allow her owner to brush her teeth; she will attempt to run off. Brandy isn’t bothered with being approached while eating or having her food touched. She is constantly trying to knock over her water bowl or standing inside of it. Brandy is allowed to roam free in the home when left alone and is well behaved. When visitors enter the home, she will remain lying down, but she will allow visitors to approach her and pet her. FOR A NEW FAMILY Brandy doesn’t play with any toys. She doesn’t respond to any commands. She is accustomed to being walked 3x a day. She enjoys calm walks on the leash for about 15 minutes. She may have an accident in the home once a day and often in the same spot. Brandy is accustomed to eating Beneful dry dog food. She would sleep on her pillow or at the foot of her owner’s bed at night.

03/30/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Brandy came to us as an owner surrender due to the owner moving out of state. The owner reported that Brandy mostly stays to herself, but has been in house fire in the past and has not been able bark since. According the owner Brandy is tolerant of the children she lived with and mostly spends her time lying down. Due to Brandy’s age and medical condition, being possible blind and deaf the behavior department does not believe Brandy to be a good SAFER candidate at this time. We recommend Brandy go to a rescue at this time.
