A Little Bit About Me…

A volunteer writes: The Fountain of Youth. Brandi must have drank from it. She is such a spunky 12 year old! She has so much to offer. She is cute, very cute, very girly and those flying ears of hers have a way to make her even more naughty looking. She loves food and will demand with aplomb her due. She even stole from my goodies bag. She sits, stays, jumps. She is really full of beans and must have been such a presence, a true family member, more than a pet. Indeed, Brandi comes with outstanding comments from her long time owners who are moving to a place not allowing pets. I really wonder and I prefer not to think of how one could be in a position to part from such a gem like Brandi. She did live with kids and at some point with an elderly cat she shared a bed with. Brandi is usually resting in her kennel but is ready when you are. An amazing walker she is, a big tail wagger, likely house trained, super courteous with dogs met in the street and playful with both males and females in playgroups. She does not mind mingling with crowds, likes when people come to say hello, wags her tail while looking at a group of kids exiting the church and seems content, serene and comfortable wherever she is. I hope I have convinced you that Brandi is IT, the gem we all would love to have in our house as a friendly buddy with humor and loving companion. Brandi is waiting for you. Come and meet her soon.

Let’s get to know each other a bit more…

For a New Family to Know

Brandi is a friendly, affectionate, playful, shy, excitable, independent and sometimes fearful dog. Brandi loves to run and play with stuffed animals. When at home, Brandi likes to stay in her favorite spot which is in her bed in the foyer. Brandi likes to play games such as tug and chase. Brandi is an indoors only dog and was free-fed dry food. Brandi is house-trained and usually goes potty on grass. Brandi is usually well behaved when left home alone but may sometimes dig in her bed causing the bed to break apart. Brandi has never been crate-trained and knows basic commands such as sit, come, down, stay and give paw. When taken for walks, Brandi was always walked off-leash and she would wander but would come when called.

Upon intake, Brandi allowed counselor to pet her and she approached counselor’s hand and sniffed. Brandi allowed to be collared but when put on a leash began pulling and owner noted that Brandi does not know how to walk on a leash.
