Basic Info: Boss A1070393 is a 1yr old male gray and white AMPBT mix who was given to owner from a breeder & is being surrendered due to the owner not being allowed to have pets in the new home. He was last seen by a veterinarian in 2015 and currently has a small open circular wound on the right side of his neck. Socialization: Around strangers Boss is friendly/outgoing. Boss has not been around small children. He plays well with other dogs and has not been around cats. Boss has never bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: Boss does not have any behavior issues. During storms/fireworks he’ll bark. He isn’t bothered by the following: having his food/food bowl, toys/treats touched/moved, being disturbed while sleeping/resting. Boss loves being brushed. During baths Boss struggles to get away. He hasn’t had his nails trimmed. If someone approaches the home/family member Boss wants to play. For A New Family to Know: Boss is friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, excitable & independent with a high activity level. The owner likes how friendly & playful he is. Boss enjoys playing with a bottle, rope toys and games of fetch & tug. Boss is mostly an indoor only dog who sleeps on the floor & is walked 2x a day where he pulls sometimes on his leash. Boss eats dry dog food 2x a day and likes any kind of dog treats. He will have accidents in the home if someone takes too long to take him out. Boss’ known commands are “sit”, “stay” & “come”. Intake Behavior: Boss allowed all handling. He allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of. He sat for her photos and took treats. He allowed to be approached and pet. He was walked to the back and transferred into kennel.

Boss pulls a bit on the leash. He became stiff and showed some concerning behavior during the assessment. was tense during handling, but had soft body language. Boss showed some concern during the tag interaction: snarled and air snapped at the assessor. The behavior department decided to skip the handling part of the assessment for safety reasons. During the resources Boss was not interested in toys. Boss rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression. Boss was surrender to us. According to his previous owner Boss is friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, excitable & independent with a high activity level. The owner likes how friendly & playful he is. Boss enjoys playing with a bottle, rope toys and games of fetch & tug. Around strangers Boss is friendly and outgoing. Boss has not been around small children. He plays well with other dogs and has not been around cats. He isn’t bothered having his food, food bowl, toys, treats touched or moved”. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 2.
