I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/06/2016 from NY 11206, owner surrender reason stated was OWNER DIED.

Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Toy:2. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm hold. His body is between you and the toy, and he is not stiff. Summary: Bosco displayed no behavioral concerns on assessment DOG-DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT: Tolerant: These dogs are typically non-reactive on leash and will be either friendly or indifferent off leash. Bosco has taken time to become comfortable engaging in play. With continued introduction Bosco has become more interested in soliciting play from male and female dogs. Based on observation made while in our care, the behavior department feels that Bosco would benefit from slow introductions to resident dogs in a future home. 11/7: When introduced off leash to other dogs in the care center, Bosco appears conflicted. He offers very brief bows and toe taps, then cautiously moves away when reciprocated. 11/8: Bosco is initially cautious of solicitation, then begins to offer bows and engage. 11/9: Bosco offers bows and toe taps to solicit play.
