Basic Information:
Bobby is a 14 year old male poodle mix who was surrendered due to his previous owner being ill.
Socialization:
Around strangers Bobby is shy for a few minutes and plays gently with adults. Bobby has spent time with children ages 3,5,8, and 14; around them Bobby is relaxed and plays exuberantly. Bobby has never been around other dogs but has spent time with 1 cat who he was reaxed with. Bobby has never bitten another person or animal.
Behavior:
Bobby is nervous around loud sounds and will try and hide. Bobby is friendly when someone touches his food or bowl while he is eating, takes a treat away or takes a toy/object away. Bobby is frendly if someone pushes/pulls him off of the furniture, gives him a bath, trims his nails, brushes his coat, or holds/restrains him. If an unfamiliar person approaches Bobby’s home or family Bobby is friendly toward them.
For a New family to Know:
Bobby is described as: friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, and mellow with a low activity level. Bobby likes toplay with balls,squeaky toys, and chew toys. Bobby likes to play fetchand was kept indoors only. Bobby was fed boiled chicken by his owner throughout the day. Bobby is house trained and rarely has any accidents. Bobby has not been crate trained and is well behaved when he is left alone in the house. Bobby likes brisk walks on a leash and doesn’t pull. Bobby is not walked off leash and may run away. Bobby will go to the bathroom on the grass outside.
Intake Behavior:
Bobby allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression. Bobby allowed staff to pick him up and hold him.
