A Volunteer Wrote: “Love!” “Playful!” “Puppy!” We volunteers may not always be verbose on the walking logs, but we do get to the heart of the matter—as the praise for this boy indicates, he is an adored, playful puppy! Boa was scared when he first came into the shelter but he has blossomed, turning into a kissing, loving, waggy-tailed, adorable boy who is wonderful with other dogs and has charmed the socks off the humans. If you’re looking for a young dog, you couldn’t find sweeter than Boa.
Another volunteer writes: Cutie Patootie Puppy Alert!!! Shyly adorable in his gleaming black and white coat, Boa makes friends in a most un puppy like way…he’s calm, gentle, takes his time and when he decides that you’re worthy of being his puppy friend he wags his tail a little and gives you a kiss. Heavenly!! Possibly housetrained, but as a puppy may need some refresher training, he pottied the moment we were out the door, and his leash manners are a delight. In the yard he’s all about quietly exploring the premises, which included me, coming back to sniff me, check out my treat bag and then off for more exploration. You can’t help but fall in love with this sweet, gentle, calm little fellow who was found with his two siblings Bee(A1069232) and Bali Myna (A1069231). He’s ready to find his forever love and begin the rest of his life. Are you who he’s waiting for?
BEHAVIOR :
Boa is a 6 Month puppy and he fearful and need some socialization. Boa is in the best time to socialize he is in the stage where the dogs are most sensitive and receptive. The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter. Boa is somewhat fearful and needs time to warm up to the handler. The behavior department advises
that future adopters should be able to provide positive experiences for Boa. In addition, we recommend that introductions are done slowly, and Boa be given the opportunity to interact at their own pace. We cannot be certain if behavior may be suppressed as a result of the shelter environment. Please note that behavior may change when Boa is more comfortable and settled in a home environment.
