01/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Bo came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake it was reported Bo was sedated, he had tense body language, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Bo came into the assessment room tense and nervous with his tailed tucked, he was a bit social towards the assessor, not all handling items were able to be conducted as Bo tried to bite at the assessor on the Look item. He displayed no interest in the toy resource item during this portion of the assessment. In light of this behavior we feel that placement with a rescue who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification is the best option at this time. Look: 5. Dog tries to bite. Toy 1: No interest. Dog-dog: When off leash with other dogs, Bo was a little less fearful today and greeted each dog appropriately. He spent most of the time near the handler however did engage in a very brief, bouncing play bout.
01/05/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
When off leash with other dogs, Bo displayed some interest in greeting the dogs but had a fearful body posture- tucked tail and low body- while the handler was attempting to collar. Once inside the pen, Bo greeted other dogs briefly but spend most of the time exploring the environment. 1/6-7 update: Bo was a little less fearful today and greeted each dog appropriately. He spent most of the time near the handler however did engage in a very brief, bouncing play bout.
