A volunteer writes: Can we talk spectacular? Blush is definitely that and so much more. So quiet in her kennel, sitting side saddle (love that!), getting her bearings and waiting patiently for a walk. Easily leashed, we’re down the stairs softly and on the street so Blush can go potty. She’s a gem on leash, walking perfectly by my side, never pulling. Her coat gleams in the sun, her tail wags gently as we now head into the yard for off leash time. Blush looks around, checking it all out, and comes forward to meet a tiny Yorkie in an
adjoining pen, and then does a hop and a play bow! So cute and a missed photo opportunity unfortunately as it was the cutest thing ever. Blush gives kisses, takes treats gently and then spits them out equally gently when not to her liking. Up on the bench for some more kisses, then a prance around the pen, stopping to greet a big dog on the other side. Look up ‘gentle giant’ in the dictionary and you’ll find a picture of Blush as she is the definition of that. She’s already gathered her fan club of staff and volunteers around her, but is waiting for the President of that club to come meet her and make her theirs. What a great dog!

Summary
PLAYGROUP:
8/23: When introduced off leash to dogs, Blush is initially reserved. Once comfortable, she engages in highly exuberant play.
8/24: Blush plays exuberantly with male and female dogs.
INTAKE BEHAVIOR:
Upon intake, Blush was calm and relaxed.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
During her initial medical exam, Blush was a bit timid but allowed handling.
ENERGY LEVEL:
We have no history on Blush so we cannot be certain of her behavior in a home environment. However, she is a young, enthusiastic, social dog who will need daily mental and physical activity to keep her engaged and exercised. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct her energy and enthusiasm.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Average (suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience)
