Very thin – BCS= 3/9 Observed Behavior – Friendly, wagging tail, nuzzles you when petted. P = 120 R = eup BCS= 3/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, dry skin in ears, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: Mod tooth staining (yellow) with mild-mod tartar and mild gingivitis. MM pk. PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Male intact – 2 symmetric scrotal testicles MSI: Ambulatory x 4. thin to cachectic, Skin free of parasites. No masses noted. Healthy hair coat. Pressure sores on dorsal medial metcarpals. Nails long but not impeding gait. CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: Underweight intact male 6 yo Pitt: rule out dietary vs metabolic vs inflammatory/infectious vs EPI Bloodwork done 7/17 was within normal limits Has gained 3 pounds since last weight (7/17) Plan: Continue to monitor at BACC Recommend extra feeding consider repeat bloodwork if not eating well or not gaining weight. consider adding pancreazyme supplementation Prognosis: Fair to good. SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to underweight.

PLAYGROUP:
Blue’s previous owner states that when Blue sees another dog he is relaxed and allows the other to approach him but does not really play. Blue greeted a calm, novel male, with a soft body. He wandered around the pens mostly keeping to himself.
INTAKE BEHAVIOR
Upon intake Blue was very friendly and allowed handling.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
9/13/17: During his medical examination, Blue was friendly with his tail wagging. He allowed all handling.
ENERGY LEVEL: His previous owner reports a high activity level, which matches what we have seen in the care center.
