Medical Summary Microchip: negative Sex: intact male Age: reported 5y Mentation: BARH at start of exam Eyes: clear Ears: clean Nose: no d/c Teeth: upper left canine fx and some wear on other teeth, mild staining If abnormal BCS: WNL Skin: scabbed areas over muzzle, old wounds Hair Coat: WNL Declawed: N/A Any injuries: owners report hx of epilepsy (transporting officers do not know if it was treated or not) and aggression; dog had a partial seizure (upright, mostly lucid but mentally inappropriate and hyper-reactive to stimuli, small facial fasiculations with nystagmus then fixed and dilated pupils unresponsive to light once calmed and in cage, excessive drooling at onset but control of bowels and urination, slight ataxia and periods of leaning against objects for support but then lunging up again at bystanders); superficial wounds to muzzle and head during struggle Behavior: allowed all handling at first, friendly and responds well to treats and commands, easy to handle and walks well on lead; once moving into ward dog became sensitive to stimuli (dogs barking, touching surfaces of room) and became aggressive towards other kennels and inanimate objects and then redirected towards a handler and made biting contact Medication: N/A, preventatives given, vet check
