A volunteer writes: Surrendered to our care as his person could no longer afford the cost of pet ownership, Blue is handling his transition as well as can be expected. He’s a big handsome fellow, eager to come out for a walk to go potty (his former person tells us he’s housetrained), and Blue and I chatted as we walked to get to know one another. He’s a good listener!! Ignoring other dogs we pass on the sidewalk, we then head into the backyard for some off leash time. As soon as I took the leash off Mr. Blue he came to me, putting his head in my lap for petting….a connection? reassurance? We’re told that he’s friendly with strangers, great with kids (lived with a 4 year old) and hasn’t interacted with other animals. Blue was all bouncy and happy as other dogs passed our pen so seems to want to meet them all. Blue comes when I call him, is happy to hang out near me as I take some notes, and comes in my lap for petting. A total snuggle boy, he needs a few minutes to warm up and then is all about hugs and kisses. He’s a gorgeous hunk ready to find a new family to love. Ask to meet him when you visit.
