01/11/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Our beautiful girl Blu Skyla is shyly ready to make a new friend, and for the chance to be outside to go potty. My first walk of the day, it was brrrrrrr cold, so Skyla allowed me to put a festive coat on her (which she rocked, of course). Her leash manners are lovely, her tail wags as we chatted during our walk, and she looks up at every person that passes with a hopeful glance. Watching the birds play, she cocks her head as they prance, but makes no effort to chase them. Blu Skyla is submissively shy and friendly, snuggling into me for caresses, then showing off her sit for a treat. We’re told that she lived respectfully with young children, lived with and chased a cat, doesn’t guard her things, enjoys playing with toys, and prefers to have company vs being left alone. When our time together was over, Blu Skla hopped into her kennel and onto her bed, and each time I passed her kennel she was simply hanging out, paws draped over her bed watching the activity pass her door. Hoping to meet her BFF quickly, Blu Skyla is hanging out waiting. Do it today. Another volunteer writes: You should meet this dog, you’ll love her! The words of the driver who fell for Blu Skyla on their ride over to the Care Center say it all: this bluenose baby is adorable in every way. Gentle and submissive yet energetic and eager to explore, Blu’s a little shy with us humans, but she’s an absolute rock star with other pups in playgroup. She play bows and spins with happiness out in the yard. Walks to the park are much appreciated, and she pulls to get to the good scents, but with her tiny size and a harness leash we get along just fine. Back inside, we share a snuggle-n-smooch session, and I’m thrilled to discover that Blu gives stand-up hugs on command–too cute! She’s a proven family dog with the good nature to match her gorgeous looks, so, what are you waiting for? Come visit Blu Skyla at our Manhattan Care Center today and get ready to fall in love!
