BASIC INFORMATION: Black is a tricolored rat terrier that is 9 years old. He was a gift from a neighbor when he was just months old. Owner is surrendering Black and his other rat terrier Baytobin A1047517 because he has to relocate quickly out of state. Black has no know health issue. He is very mellow and affections with people.
SOCIALAZATION: Black has been raised with children ages 2 and up. He is gently and relaxed around children. He tends to follow and sniff them. Black is very affectionate with family member but is wary of strangers that come over the house. His body becomes tense and tail is up. When stranger attempt to pet him he barks and avoidance. Around familiar people he seeks attention and lies next to people. He lived with another dog name Baytobin A1047517 in harmony. Around other dogs he sniffs curiously and has a loose body. He has never been around cats.
BEHAVIOR: Black is wary of stranger and takes some time to warm up to people. He is tolerant when given bath, having his nails trimmed and tolerant of all handling. He is fine having toys and rawhides removed from his mouth. He allows to be restrained for a short period of time. He has never bitten any one.
FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW: Black is described as affectionate, mellow and gentle. He enjoys unlimited at dry dog food (store brand). He likes to play chase with his doggy friend Baytobin. He enjoys playing fetch and long walks in the park. He loves belly rubs and gently petted. He is house trained and has never had an accident in the house. He enjoys sleeping throughout most of the day. He has never been in a crate but is well behaved unattended. Black is a dog that can be great in any home because his gently personality.
BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE: During intake Black was a bit shy. He lip licked and was wary of the scanner (scanned negative). He allowed to be collard and photographed. He walked nicely into his cage and managed to relax.
PLAYGROUP BEHAVIOR: When off leash with other dogs Black is initially uncomfortable and offers defensive correction when approached. He becomes more comfortable and is sexually motivated but responds well to correction.

Basic Information:
Prince Zeus is an unaltered 9 year old rat terrier mix. He was adopted from the care center 8 months ago and is being surrendered because the owner does not have enough time to care for him as she previously did due to family members’ health.
Socialization:
Prince Zeus lived with 2 adults and did not have visitors to the home to know his behavior with them. He is gentle during play with the owner. He lived with 3 other small-medium size altered dogs all under the age of 6 years. The owner stated that he was playful with the other dogs and like they liked to chase each other. It is unknown how he will react around cats. He lived with a parakeet and he would howl at the bird.
Behavior:
Prince Zeus is not bothered by loud noises, people touching his food/food bowl (not bothered by other dogs walking by while eating), bathing (runs from dryer), being brushed, or woken from sleep. He is friendly when his toys are taken from him and when he is held. It is unknown how he will react when a bone is taken away, removed from furniture, has his nails trimmed, or when strangers approach his home or family.
For a New Family to Know:
He is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, mellow, and excitable. He is kept mostly indoors and has a medium activity level. His favorite thing to do is play fetch with balls. He sleeps on his dog pillow. He is fed Alpo dry dog food twice a day. He is trained to use the bathroom outside and on training pads. He is well behaved at home alone. He knows the commands down, here, and alright. He is used to leashed walks twice a day. He does not pull on a leash.
Admissions Behavior:
Prince Zeus came into the office with his tail tucked and was shaking through the process. When approached slowly and spoke to softy he allowed petting. When pet, he lowered his head and remained very tense but allowed all handling. He did not want to walk but allowed to be picked up and carried.
