WEB MEMO: A volunteer writes: What a difference a day can make! When I first met Bishop, he was so quiet and reserved. A little nervous to come out of his kennel with me, I think the only thing that was really motivating him to leave his safe place was his desperate need to go potty. While I photographed him, his ears were back, he was shy, but sweet and eager to please. He calmly explored the yard for a minute and then eagerly got into my lap, trembling a little but seemed to be comforted by my petting and soft conversation with him. After a few minutes he was ready to go back inside. The next day, Bishop was like a different dog! The minute he saw me, he got really excited, actually enthusiastic about our next outing! As we walked along, he seemed almost giddy, prancing this way and that, looking up at me so satisfied that he could spend some more time with his new friend. At one point, he even jumped up to give me some hugs and beg for some lovin’. Bishop’s former owner confirms that he loves to give hugs, is friendly toward strangers and the children he used to reside with, is playful around dogs and knows some commands. Bishop might take a little extra time, but his true personality really shines! Ask to meet him today!
