A volunteer writes: Maybe Linus would be a more apropos name for our little Bishop who, “Sleeps on his favorite blanket and carries it from room to room,” according to his former owner. I can just imagine him, dragging along a blanket twice his size, tripping over it as he tugged with his stubby legs, looking for the most comfortable sunspot in the house. And his blanket is so cherished and comforting, that he even brought it to our care center with him—and staff knows to make sure he always has it in his kennel! His owner also tells us he is gentle with children, tolerant of cats, can sometimes play roughly with other dogs and is housetrained. To say Bishop is cute is an understatement. He’s the type of dog that garners second looks; a huge blockhead perched upon one of the shortest, low-rider bodies that I have seen in a long time. And when I put this coat on him, he pranced around the yard, knowing he looked quite GQ. His previous owner says he’s fond of cheese, and though I didn’t have any on me, he enthusiastically accepted the other treats I had to offer, showing me his best sit and stay for the camera. Bishop is eagerly waiting for a new home to carry his beloved blanket to, come meet him at the Brooklyn ACC today!
