Billy has allowed minimal handling in the care center. Due to this behavior as well as his multiple-bite history, he is not a candidate for a handling assessment at this time. Billy poses a significant risk of future aggression and will need guidance and behavior modification to prevent future incidents. See notes in other entries and the enrichment notes below for additional information. Bite history: Billy followed the finder into her apartment and when attempting to leash him, Billy bit two family members. Details about the severity of the bites are not available. Enrichment notes: 8/15: Upon approach, Billy is lying down and growling – unable to leash. 8/16: Upon approach Billy is at the front and is easily leashed. We walks well on leash and approaches the handler to sniff, and allows brief contact. Easily returned to his kennel. 8/17: Upon approach Billy is at the front and is easily leashed. Outside he wanders the yard and allows pet. Easy back in. 8/20-8/23: Easy in/out. Plays ball and occasionally approaches handler for pets.
