A volunteer writes:

“I am a little teapot short and stout…” This is the song our Big Earl could sing….How not to fall for this “grey muzzle”, his dumpling shape, his tiger and silky brindle coat, his short manicured nails, his  gentle eyes and his dark velvety cropped ears…All what i want to do is to hug and pet this mushy middle aged boy.. Big Earl has the personality to match his looks… He is slow in his moves, comes, uninvited(but so welcome) on my lap, gives me lavishly his paw and accepts with grace soft treats. He closes his eyes under my caresses, his face squooshed  between my hand and my lap…He wags his tail non stop…What a nice and “feel good” pooch..Of course, Big Earl has already made a number of friends among  various staff…He walks slowly and nicely on the leash, does we’ll stairs and does his business with minimal marking, in the street. He nears properly other dogs, big and small. Big Earl that i also call Lazy Bear(as he is a bit slow) is very attractive in his own ways.. His personality, his looks, his kind demeanor are big sellers….. He is a dog I  really enjoy and love spending time with…I hope you will too and offer him a home and your heart. Big Earl is at the  ManhattanCare Center.

For more information on adopting from the NYC AC&C, or to find a rescue to assist, please read the following: http://urgentpodr.org/adoption-info-and-list-of-rescues.

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email helpdogs@urgentpodr.org. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

* We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
