A Volunteer Wrote: What’s brown and white and joy all over? Our Bickford, who wins the hearts of everyone he meets with his utterly winning dearness. Pet him and he leans in and closes his eyes to express his bliss at being touched. Hug him and he expresses his gratitude by going in and stealing a kiss–the best sneak attack of the day, sure to illicit laughs of happiness from the humans lucky enough to experience it. Bickford has stolen our hearts. I walked up behind a volunteer playing with him and heard her saying, “Come here, you gorgeous hunk!” He aced his behavior exam, and in playgroup with other dogs he is described as being “polite” and “playfully bouncy.” Have you ever heard two more perfect attributes for any companion? Bickford needs leash training, but that’s the only thing you’re going to hear us say other than “perfect, perfect, perfect” and “ready to go
to your home!” Our gorgeous boy is inexplicably wearing a collar that says “Walt Disney World,” and we are dreaming he might find his magic kingdom in your home, where he will be rewarded for his manners and playful bounce with endless pets that allow him to close his eyes for a good night’s sleep for the rest of his life.

PLAY GROUP
10/26: When introduced off leash to other dogs in the care center, Bickford offers polite greeting. The female greeter dog offers Bickford a correction for this behavior, and Bickford playfully bounces away.
10/27: Bickford engages in play with intent to mount female dogs.
10/28: Bickford is a bit sexually motivated but then begins to engage in play when solicited.
