Medical Behavior Evaluation GREEN
Medical Summary  Stray BARH, slightly thin and poor haircoat Active and happy handleable dog. BCS= 3/9, slightly thin. EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: clena teeth PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, MM pk, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Female – no spay scar seen, no mammary masses or vulvar discharge. MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted. Patchy alopecia on back, general alopecia and mild hyperkeratosis and erythema on most of ventral neck. Several papules in inguinal area with a few on mid ventral abd. CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment Pyoderma on abd – mainly caudal but extending up to spay area Alopecia on neck – r/o demodex vs allergies Plan Cephalexin 500 mg 1 po bid x 10 days. Benadryl 25 mg 1 po bid x 10 days. Skin scraping for tech check. Needs re-check of abd to see if ok for spay.

Beverly has the greatest spirit ! She is a young girl, only 8 month old endowed with a lively(if not fiery), carefree and joyous personality that makes you want to spend time with her and even think of having her as a forever best friend. She is pretty and girly and owns  a smile that splits her face in two. Add two sparkling and laughing eyes and you will have the picture of Life itself, happy  and exciting as it should be… Beverly is happy to be out and in company. She pulls a little on the leash, sniffs her premises, shows some mild interest in the pigeons and does her business on the way. She is quite friendly to all dogs met, big and small and enjoys her self in playgroups with her peers. She loves to be leash free in the yard and is a great ball chaser. Quite a clumsy runner too, hitting the fences in her young enthusiasm… She catches the ball,  eventually and lets me take it without problem from her mouth. She occasionally sneaks a little of leash biting but a firm NO stops her in her course. Beverly is a GOOD puppy who like any youngster needs training, guidance, patience and love. Beverly, her heart full of hope,  is waiting at the Manhattan Care Center  for her new master and teacher…
Another volunteer writes:   “And they called it puppy love”…  sang Donny Osmand…and me!!!!  Adorably playful, sweetly affectionate, Miss Beverly is all happy puppy ready to greet everyone with a kiss and a tail wag.  She’s so special she was chosen to be a “corporate helper dog” and watching her I think she enjoyed her time as much as the people playing with her.   Like all puppies, in addition to love, good food and fun exercise, she needs structure to help her become the rock star adult dog she is on her way to being.   She’s looking for that special someone…..is it going to be you?
