ENERGY LEVEL: His previous owner reports a high activity level, which matches what we have seen in the care center. Bentley displayed high energy and movement throughout assessment. We recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and hide-and-seek games, in additional to physical exercise, to positively direct his energy and enthusiasm.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Experienced adopter, adult-only home. _X_No young children (under 5)- Previous owner notes that Bentley will growl over food resources. It is important to leave Bentley alone while he is eating and never to take anything directly from his mouth. When he is asked to drop something he should be traded for an item of equal or higher value, in order to reward Bentley for relinquishing the item he has. Bentley also growls over toy resources. We recommend training an “off” cue with treat rewards to manage this behavior, should it appear in a future home.
