Basic Information:
Benny is an 8 year old Bichon Frise mix who enjoys playing tug-o-war.
Socialization:
Around strangers Benny is shy for a few minutes and plays gently with adults. Benny has lived ith children of all ages; around them he is relaxed and plays exuberantly. Benny has spent time with dogs of various sizes and breeds; around them he is relaxed and plays exuberantly. Benny has lived with cats and is reaxed and playful around them. Benny has never bitten another person or animal.
Behavior:
Benny will defecate and urinate if he is not taken out on time During fireworks, thunder storms or other loud sound Benny is terrified and will hide. Benny is friendly when someone touches his food or bowl while he is eating, takes a treat, toy or other object away, or disturbs him while he is sleeping. Benny is dose not jump on furtinure unless he is invited to do so. Benny is friendly when someone gives him a bath, brushes his coat,or holds/restrains him. Benny is afraid of getting his nails trimmed and will pull his paws away. If an unfamiliar person approaches Benny’s family or home Benny is friendly toward them.
For a New Family to Know:
Benny is described as: friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, mellow, and independant. with a medium activity level. When at home Benny will stay in his favorite spot and likes to play with balls and stuffed toys. Benny’s previous owner believes that Benny will do well in any type of home. Benny eats dry food teice a day from the brands gravy train or beniful. Benny is house trained and has accidents a few times a week. When left alone Benny will get into the garbage. WHen left alone in a yard Benny is well behaved. Benny knows the command: sit, come, down, stay and roll over. For exercise Benny likes to go on slow walks on a leash. Off leash Benny stay close by her owners side. Benny will usually go to the bathroom on grass and trees.
Intake behavior:
Benny allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression.
