I am a male tan chihuahua sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 6 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 05/09/2016 from NY 10453, owner surrender reason stated was OWNER DIED.

05/09/16 20:37 Benji was brought in by the police. Police stated that owner is deceased and her son had call them to bring Benji to us. Benji was very tense and was barking excessively We did not get to scan, collar, or take a photo of him.

05/11/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Benji was difficult to remove from his kennel showing teeth, growling and lunges at the rope. He did not show any social behavior. Once he was out safely removed from his kennel he was grabbing at the leash, flipping and lunge at the handler. The behavior team decided to place him back in his kennel he was difficult to handle. Due to the behavior demonstrated in the shelter the behavior department believes that Benji is not an appropriate candidate for SAFER.

When off leash with other dogs, Benji mostly keeps to himself, and avoids approach. 5/12: Benji mostly keeps to himself.
