Brought in as a stray, QAR, decreased-absent vision; allows handling BCS 3.5/9 EENT: OU-mild bupthalmia; severe corneal edema covering >90% of corneas; stain neg mild serous nasal d/c ears clean Oral Exam:mm pigmented/moist; all teeth missing/previously extracted; tongue hangs out of side of mouth PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: soft, nonpainful; no palpable masses or other abnormalities U/G:female; no spay scar or tattoo noted, prominent vulva MSI: ambulatory x 4; grade I-II L MPL kyphosis of TL spine, no significant spinal pain diffuse alopecia and pigmentation along abdomen, chest and limbs flea debris along dorsums with mild diffuse erythema and crusting CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: not performed Assessment Geriatric Corneal edema/bupthalmia-r/o glaucoma vs other Kyphosis of TL spine-r/o chronic IVDD vs spondylosis vs other Alopecia-r/o chronic allergies (fleas vs environment) vs metabolic vs hormonal vs other L MPL Plan Rec’d CBC/chem Rec’d IOP to rule out glaucoma; consider consult with ophthalmologist Treated with frontline spray due to being under 5# Bathe Prognosis: fair; will know more about systemic health when blood work results are in; difficult to give prognosis for resolution of corneal edema or return to vision as underlying cause is still undiagnosed-suspect may be glaucoma but unable to confirm without tonopen; likely has chronic disk issue or arthritis in spine causing hunched appearance but overall seems comfortable SURGERY: permanent waiver d/t age
