08/06/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Beba was difficult to remove from her kennel showing teeth, growling and lunges at the rope. The behavior team has to safely remove Beba with a towel. Once she was out of the kennel she started to grab at the leash, spinning and snapping at the handler. The behavior team decided to place her back in her kennel she was difficult to handle. She did not show any social behavior. Due to the behavior demonstrated in the shelter the behavior department believes that Beba is not an appropriate candidate for SAFER. Beba was surrender to us. According to her previous owner Beba is fearful with strangers, she growls. she has lived with 2 children, of which are 2 years old and 7 years old and she did not get along with them. Beba does not play with the children or adults. She has lived with another small dog in the home and she got along fine with the dog. she does not allow you to take away her food bowl, water bowl, or toy away, she growls”. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home.
