08/09/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: “She lived with children of all ages and was gentle, relaxed and playful with them. She loves babies, will shower them with kisses and wants to be near them.” Can we all say ‘awwwwwww’? Beauty has lived with her family all her life, and a house fire resulted in her being surrendered to our care. She’s been gorgeously taken care of, her coat clean and groomed, her cropped ears clean, her weight perfect for her size and her personality sweet and friendly. Beauty doesn’t guard her stuff, enjoys playing with toys, enjoys chase, tug and playing fetch, is housetrained, well behaved when left home alone, and knows ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘eat’ and ‘home’ which means go in her crate. Beauty showed me her housetraining skills, how nicely she walks on leash, wags her tail at everyone, made friends with one of our rescue drivers and takes treats gently. Absolutely awesome, she has the perfect ‘kiss target’ on the top of her head which I used often and easily, and she returned my kisses in kind. When I tell Beauty that she’s a good girl, her tail wags, she smiles, and I want to scoop her up and carry her away with me. Beauty greeted all the kenneled dogs we passed on our way in and out with an easy tail wag. In the park, she pulls towards those we pass, and in her first group social, engaged in vocal pushy play with the male greeter. Beauty is so special our behavior assessors feel she’ll be a good fit in any home with average dog experience. A proven family dog with outstanding credentials, Beauty is hoping to find a new family to love. We’re rooting for this awesome girl, her sweet brown speck ‘kiss target’ is ready and waiting for a big smooch — so come meet our special girl today.
