A volunteer writes:

The nearby park is seeing a lot of Linden, a six year old cream Labrador who was found as a stray. He is quite a catch and of course, everyone wants to get his or her hand on him. Linden is a strong dog but totally manageable.  He is a great walker, appears house trained, is  not a marker but like many middle aged dogs, is  a major “sniffer”. Linden does not “go” after pigeons or a rare squirrel. He is cool with other dogs met, even the little ones  but does have an eye for the ladies, mostly and strangely, those with short hair. He was all ready to strike a romance with Bambi on a bench and she, too,  was all eyes and ears for him…May be a supervised playdate(or playgroup) is in order. At first a little aloof, Linden became more and more friendly. He accepted some treats that he took politely from my hand.He sat on command , leaning on me and looked so happy to receive caresses. He even kissed my face to say thank you… A sweet guy…I am completely sold ! Linden is a good looking Lab, well made and enjoying a great weight. He has still quite a lot of energy in him and appetite for life and company…I see him as a great companion to a Lab lover or any dog lover…Come and meet our Linden soon at the Manhattan Care Center. He has already in mind all the fun adventures  you will have together.
