I am a female tan and white am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/21/2016 from NY 11420, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-082140.

11/29/2016 Exam Type RE-EXAM – Medical Rating is 3 C – MAJOR CONDITIONS Normal, Behavior Rating is NONE, Weight 44.2 LBS.
11/29/16 Recheck ears, finished 7 day course of otibiotic yesterday S/O: QARH. Allowed all handling. EENT: Eyes clear, moderate mucoid nasal discharge, mild thickening of pinnae, minimal otitis of ear canals, dark brown waxy debris AU (R>L) H/L: Sneezing and coughing, lungs auscult clear, no murmurs/arrhythmias A: otitis resolved, CIRDC P: Rec doxycycline 250mg po q24 x 10 days and ear cleaning. No additional ear medication indicated at this time. Continue to monitor while at BACC. Excellent prognosis

11/21/16 12:34 Basic information Barbie is a female tan and white APBT with no known medical conditions. Barbie was found wandering loose with ken (A1097506) and allowed finder to take them home. Finder described Barbie as friendly. Barbie was introduced to children ages ranging from 6 to 17 and was relaxed and respectful of them. Barbie played gently with the children and adults. Barbie was also introduced to the finder dogs but began to bark and growl at them so they were kept separated. Barbie was affectionate and playful with the Ken and when she would go to sleeps he would curl up with Ken. Barbie was well behaved when left in the house alone. Barbie enjoyed playing with rope toys and would play fetch with the finder. Barbie would growl when having her food bowl touched but the finder was still able to push the bowl with their foot while she was eating. When someone approached the house Barbie would bark. Barbie was well behaved when left in the house alone. Barbie would go to the bathroom in the house if she went into a room that the finder’s dogs were just in. Barbie knows the command sit. Behavior during intake Barbie was very sweet and social during intake She came right up to the counselor with a wagging tail. Barbie allowed to be scanned and collared while remaining loose and wiggly. Barbie. Enjoyed being pet and getting attention. She took treats from counselor gently. Barbie liked to give kisses.

When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Barbie mostly keeps to herself as she explores the pen in a group of calm, male dogs. She tolerates face to face greetings but displays assertive body language towards a larger sexually motivated male. The Behavior Department recommends that Barbie be placed in a home with dogs that match her calm energy level and that a proper dog-dog interaction be conducted with any potential adopter’s dog to ensure compatibility. 11/22-11/26: Barbie displayed neutral body language when greeting a novel male dog. She mostly keeps to herself as she explores the pen, tolerating the male dog’s face to face greetings. 11/28: Barbie greets novel male dogs appropriately before wandering in the pen and keeping to herself. However she displays assertive body language towards a larger sexually motivated male.
