12/20/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Don’t let his name and cropped ears fool you, Bane is no villain and that big ‘Pittweiler’ smile and wagging tail say it all–everyone’s welcome here! His wonderful social skills, silly personality and love of toys would make him the perfect pick for an active adopter looking to enjoy the great outdoors in any season. Bane knows come and sit, greets other dogs with friendly enthusiasm, enjoys receiving butt rubs and while he’s quite happy to entertain himself with any toy-like object (ball, rope or discarded dog coat!), the unbridled excitement he reserves for human visitors will make you feel like a celebrity every day. Is he high energy? Sure. Can he get a bit jumpy when he plays? Sometimes. Does he have a slight obsession with traffic cones? Well, only when they get all up in his face with their temptingly bright selves. But on the scales of good doghood these quirks are far outweighed by the oodles of affection and loyalty Bane has to offer. To play with him once is to love him forever so what are you waiting for? The smiling sidekick your family deserves is right here at the Manhattan Care Center and he can’t wait to meet you!
