09/19/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/19/16 16:56 Basic Info Bambino is a 3 year old staffordshire terrier who spent the past two years living with his previous owner. He has some patched of fur missing, which previous owner believes are due to food allergies. Socialization Bambino was described as friendly, affectionate, and excitable. He loves to give hugs and kisses to his owners. Bambino has spent significant time with toddlers. He loves to lick them, but sometimes knocks them down when he is trying to lick and hug them. He plays similarly with adults, fairly gentle but can knock someone over because of his size. He has never spent time with other dogs, but would try to chase cats he saw when he was outside on walks. Behavior Bambino is house trained. When he is left alone, he will occassionally cry. He would let his previous owner take away food, toys, and treats. He loves being held/restrained, and enjoys baths. Bambino will allow getting his nails trimmed and is not bothered by strangers coming into the yard. For a New Family to Know Bambino has a low to medium activity level. He loves bacon strips and rope toys! When he is at home, he would follow his previous owner around. He will eat wet or dry food, knows several basic commands like sit and come, and usually doesn’t pull on his leash. Off leash, he will wander away and come back when called. His nickname is BamBam! Behavior During Intake Bambino sniffed counselor and licked their hands. Bambino followed counselor around without pulling on leash. He allowed for collaring and petting.
09/22/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: A big grey boy is making eyes at me from his kennel and I’m instantly in love with this meatball! Leashed easily he steps down from his kennel and out we go. Surrendered by his family due to moving issues we’re told he loves to give kisses and hugs, has spent a lot of time with toddlers and loves to lick them (sometimes knocking them down due to his size), is housetrained, doesn’t guard his things, enjoys baths, loves being held, loves bacon strips and rope toys. Bam Bam (that’s his nickname) and I take a leisurely stroll to the park, his leash manners are lovely, he ignored dogs of all sizes that we passed, didn’t like my treats but graciously posed for some pictures. Bam Bam has some sort of skin allergy and when we came back into the building the vet checked him over and Bam Bam was the perfect patient; he quietly stood and actually seemed to enjoy the vets’ hands all over his body. I wanted to give him a lollipop for being such a good boy! Bam Bam wiggles and wags his hellos to everyone he meets and it’s impossible not to fall in love with this big gray galoomph. He needs some care for his coat which may be allergy induced and we’ve already begun that care for you. You just need to continue his treatment, and provide the forever love. Easy peasy for this guy. Come meet him and you’ll see what I mean.
