Bambini
Hello, my name is Bambini. My animal id is #11268. I am a desexed female tan dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 8 years old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 31-Oct-2017.
Bambini is at risk due to medical condition. Bambini suffers from seizures and should be placed in a home that is prepared to handle medical condition. Bambini at times has been anxious in the care center and should be placed in a more experienced owner’s home.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: Beagles are renowned for their gentle temperament and easy-to-handle ways and our little Bambini is no exception. She’s a dream walker on leash, full of smiles and tail wags for every dog or person who approaches and she takes care of her business promptly before nibbling treats softly from my hand then eagerly exploring all the scents of the season as we stroll through the park. But don’t think just because Miss Bambini is sweet natured that she’s a pushover, this gal’s from New York and she’s got moxie! Bambini knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to share her opinion on subjects ranging from how she’s bored and lonely in her kennel and wants to be out with you instead to needing an explanation for why those treats aren’t in her mouth already. Chubby, cheerful and chock full of family pet potential, Bambini is ready and waiting to offer a lifetime of smiles and silliness to her new forever family. Step up and make her yours today!

Behavior Asilomar: TM – Treatable-Manageable
Potential challenges: : Anxiety
Potential challenges comments:: Anxiety: Bambini appears anxious in the care center, whining when she is not with a person. We have no history on her in a home, so we do not know if this behavior will be present outside of the care center. If it does occur, we recommend giving her puzzle toys, long walks, and things to do to relieve her anxiety. Positive reinforcement, reward based training only should be used.
