Basic Information:Bam Bam is an 11 year old, small mixed breed male who was neutered prior to coming into the shelter. He has no known health issues or injuries and has not seen a vet recently. Bam Bam was in his previous home for the last 11 years and was surrendered due to the owner moving.

How is this dog around strangers?Bam Bam is friendly and outgoing when meeting new people. He alert barks when guests enter the home but approaches them to sniff, and then he relaxes.
How is this dog around children?Bam Bam has spent time around children ages 1 to teens and is friendly and playful with them.
How is this dog around other dogs?Bam Bam lived with 1 other female dog in the home and was playful and affectionate with her. She was one of his litter mates and they have spent their entire life together.
How is this dog around cats?Bam Bam has not spent time around cats before.
Resource guarding:Bam Bam is not bothered by having his food touched but he will growl if his owner tries to take a toy out of his mouth. He likes to play tug so sometimes the growl is more playful.

For a New Family to KnowBam Bam is described as being friendly, affectionate and playful. Bam Bam has been an indoor dog, likes to follow his owner around and plays with toy balls and chew bones. He sleeps on his dog bed, eats both wet and dry food and is house trained to go outside. He is well behaved when left alone in the house, and plays outside in the yard for exercise. He walks on leash and listens to the command down and stay.
Behavior Notes:Bam Bam was relaxed and friendly during intake. He easily allowed counselor to remove his harness.

According to his prior owner he lived with one other female dog and was affectionate towards the female resident dog. During session with male and female dogs he greeted group but then kept to himself.
