04/02/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/02/16 18:02hrs The caretaker stated that Bali Myna may be stubborn but playful. She enjoys petting. She isn’t bothered by haviing her food touched or approached when eating. The caretaker stated that when she was left in the bathroom during the day, she would relieve herself along with her two other siblings in the tub. She would tear at items around the home when left to roam free. During intake she was very energetic with a wagging tail attempting to get out of her leash by pulling away. She allowed petting all over. She was collared, scanned for a microchip(negtative) and photographed.

04/08/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Puppy perfection alert!!! Are you searching for a pretty little lady to warm your heart, your home and your lap? Aching to welcome a puppy into your family but not sure you have the experience needed? Keen to give an overlooked black dog the second chance she deserves? Then Bali Myna is the girl for you! Smart, snuggly and super sweet, she just might be the most well-behaved and well-trained puppy I’ve ever met. Bali knows come, sit, stay and heels like a pro on walks, sticking close to my side (a little too close at times!) and never pulling, jumping or messing about with the leash. Arriving as a ‘stray’ with her equally cute siblings Bee (A1069232) and Boa (A1069233), Bali has clearly been well-socialized, and her lovely low-key manners with strange dogs and people of all kinds mean she’d fit into almost any home with ease. Plenty of kisses and cuddles spiced up with a dash of play time are her recipe for the perfect date, and she’s thrilled to explore the park, to trot around with a plush toy in her mouth, or simply to spend time in my arms being snuggled like the precious baby she is. Family pets don’t come any better than Bali Myna, and I could go on all day about how gentle, bright and beautiful she is. But why just take my word for it? Hurry in to our Manhattan Care Center and discover this hidden treasure for yourself!

04/05/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Bali Myna pulls a bit on the leash. She was calm and relaxed during handling and easily engages in play, body is loose and wiggly, mouth open. Bali Myna was easy to handle when chewing on toys. Bali Myna did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Lick hand Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Lick Hand Toy 1. Dog settles down close to chew, will relinquish toy to you. Playgroup Notes: When off leash with other dogs, Bali Myna offers brief greeting but becomes anxious and distracted. She begins to pace the yard while whining and vocalizing.

04/04/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Bali Myna was initially uncomfortable with interaction but gained confidence throughout her stay and begun to engage in play with males and females. Depending on playstyle of the other dog she engages in soft play to rough play. She came from a home with two other dogs (one male, one female) but the finder only had them briefly, so any in-home behaviors with them are unknown. The behavior department recommends a pre-adoption interaction to ensure the resident dog is comfortable with Bali Myna’s playstyle, as well as allowing her time to acclimate to her new surroundings before doing any introductions. When off leash with other dogs, Bali Myna offers brief greeting but becomes anxious and distracted. She begins to pace the yard while whining and vocalizing. 4/5 update: Bali Myna roams the pen but allows greeting. 4/6 update: Bali Myna begins to engage in soft play with other dogs, but becomes uncomfortable when solicited with rougher styles of play. 4/7 update: Bali Myna engages briefly in soft play. 4/9 update: Bali Myna runs along side other dogs that are playing and may engage in some rough play with dogs she is comfortable with.
