12/18/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
12/18/16 19:18 On intake, Bailey gently jumped up onto the counselor to smell her. She gently pushed him off and knelt down to give him a treat. He gently took it and turned his back towards the counselor and sat on her feet. The counselor got up to make a collar and asked Bailey to sit, which he did, and she was able to collar him. She walked him over to the mat and he sat nicely for pictures without being told to. When he first heard the noise the camera makes he pushed his face towards it. Bailey’s tail was wagging during the entire intake.
12/28/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Ol’ blue eyes ain’t got nothing on our Bailey, check out those peepers! As good-hearted on the inside as he is good-looking on the outside, Bailey is a real catch and if smooshy snuggle sessions and brief but passionate games of tug-o-war are your idea of the perfect date then I know a certain someone who’d be very happy to meet you! A strong, responsive walker in harness, Bailey seems quite house trained and already knows how to sit on command and take treats with a gentle mouth and while things can get a bit jumpy, especially when toys are involved, he’s just as quick to relinquish them without a fuss. On a walk through the park he partakes in a little squirrel chasing but is easily guided back to the path and when we see other dogs he’s tail-waggingly happy and eager to make friends. Did I mention he gives kisses too? Having aced his behavior assessment like a champ he’s ready to be adopted into almost any home. Friendly is Bailey’s middle name but he’s still waiting for a family name and the forever family that goes with it to make his happiness complete. Come meet this blue-eyed lover boy at our Manhattan Care Center and start the new year off with a kiss!
