01/04/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
01/04/16 20:30 Finder found Azula while walking his dog in the Bronx. He grabbed a spare leash from his car and decided to bring her to ACC. When he parked to let the dogs out of the car, Azula ran out of the car and began to attack a 4 year old cocker spaniel/poodle mix that was barking at her. Dog walker attempted to pick the dog up to get away, but Azula kept jumping up and biting various parts of the dog. At the end, the dog had a puncutre on the neck, side and hind quarters. Azula has a wound on her face. In the lobby, Azula would remain calm near calm, relaxed dogs (including the finder’s large shepherd mix). When a dog began to bark and growl in the lobby, Azula began to become stiff, bark and attempted to redirect towards the shepherd mix. Once the barking dog was removed, she became loose and social again. She remained social and wiggly to humans the entire time.

Azula pulls a bit on leash. She was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body, wagging tail. Azula was calm and relaxed during handling. She did a lot of jumping up, body checking and played tug-of-war with the leash during tag interaction. Azula took the toy with a soft body language. Azula rushed in confidently towards the friendly dog; when close, growls Azula show a bit of concern during the tag interaction she became a bit over arousal. Also she shows some concern during the dog interaction. Because of her history around other dog and the behavior demonstrated during the assessment.
