Avery was found as a stray with another large mixed breed dog but we do not have any further information about her behavior around other dogs. The Behavior Department recommends that Avery be placed in a home with residents dogs that are respectful and match her calm demeanor. All introductions should be done slowly and under supervision. 11/05: When off leash at the Care Center, Avery interacts with a novel male dog with a neutral but slightly wiggly posture. She is social, checking in with him every so often while exploring the yard. 11/06: Avery greets a novel female with a soft, neutral posture then wanders the yard, occasionally checking in with her. 11/07: Avery was assertive today with several different male dogs. She over-corrected (hard bark, lunge) when a calm male sniffed her genital area and during a face to face greet from another male. 11/08-9: Avery mostly kept to herself with introduced a calm male dog. 11/10: Today Avery over-corrected(lunging), another dog when he attempted to solicit play.
