05/13/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
05/13/17 15:57 Augustus A1111970 is a super handsome young male tan & white AMPBT mix who was found tied up on a street corner in the Bronx a little while ago, the finder was told about our BXAC location and they walked to us. They aren’t willing/able to keep him. They stated Augustus was friendly & allowed them to untie him to then walk to our location. During intake Augustus had a super loose, wiggly body and allowed all handling. He allowed to be scanned (-), collared and taken pictures of. Augustus would get on his hind legs to hug and or give me kisses. He walked nicely alongside me and hopped into his kennel when asked.
05/17/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Augustus the Great, at your service! This pouty-faced cutie is the ideal combination of youthful energy and well-mannered charm, ready to party or just put his feet up whenever you are. A consummate professional with his basic commands, Augustus will politely sit, stay and shake paw before gently mouthing a treat from my hand. He’s always happy to share his toys and his love, and while he does jump up for a game of tug, he just as quickly lets the plushie go without a fight. Walking nicely on leash, he promptly takes care of ‘business’ before stopping for a snuggle break, and as we hug, that gingery wiggle-butt waggles itself silly. Unfortunately, Augustus has the sniffles at the moment so isn’t participating in playgroup, but he passed his behavior assessment with perfect scores across the board and he trots past the other dogs’ kennels just as easily. Gorgeous, fun and oh so friendly, Augustus is a dog who’ll shine in almost any home. Ask for him by name at our Manhattan Care Center and get ready to be wowed!
