11/18/16 Monitor appetite, started on doxycycline for CIRDC 3 days ago S/O: BAR. Active and attention seeking. Eating with excellent appetite EENT: Eyes clear, minimal nasal discharge H/L: Sneezing A: CIRDC resolving well, good appetite P: continue with current treatment and monitoring plan. Excellent prognosis 11/16/16 Exam for ASPCA Spay: S/O) BAR – H. MM pk. Eyes clr. Mild SND but MPND when checked at 17:00. Mild cough. L: Mild increase BVS, eupneic. Droplets of blood in cage – droplets from vulva. E/D/ UR/ BM ok per cage notes. A) CIRDC starting. P) Further exam later. Reject for ASPCA spay. Move to iso sign. Doxy 100 mg 3 po sid x 10 days – first dose given today. Re-check in 3 days, 7 and 10 days.

KNOWN HISTORY: Unknown Unaltered, Stray SAFER ASSESSMENT: 11/9/16 Look: 1. Dog leans forward or jumps up to lick the Assessor’s face with tail wagging, ears back and eyes averted. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (need coaxing to approach.) She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are relaxed. Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. She does not place her body between you and the toy. Summary: No concerns were seen on this assessment. DOG-DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT: Summary PLAYGROUP: Athena was surrendered as a stray so her past behavior around dogs is unknown. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Athena displays loose and wiggly body language when greeting male and female dogs. Athena engages in both gentle play and high energy play, adapting to her play partner. She is tolerant of mounting behavior. She is utilized as a social greeter dog, tolerating mounting and vocal play styles. Throughout all interactions, she continues to solicit play. When off leash with dogs at the Care Center, Athena displays loose and wiggly body language when greeting male and female dogs. Athena engages in both gentle play and high energy play, adapting to her play partner. She is tolerant of mounting behavior. She is utilized as a social greeter dog, tolerating mounting and vocal play styles. Throughout all interactions, she continues to solicit play. The Behavior Department recommends that Athena be placed in a home with dogs that match her playful behavior. ** Social Greeter Dog ** 11/8: Athena displays soft, loose and wiggly body language when greeting a novel male dog. She displays bouncy body language while interacting with him and is tolerant of his mounting behavior. 11/9-11/16: In a group of playful female dogs, Athena engages in both gentle play and high energy play, adapting to her play partner.
