Athena
Hello, my name is Athena. My animal id is #10603. I am a desexed female brown dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 23-Oct-2017.
Athena is at risk due to being diagnosed with Canine Upper Respiratory Disease Complex. She will likely require in home care with antibiotics and is contagious to other dogs. She was given and Average behavior determination and has no know behavior concerns at this time.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: Athena looks like a little fox coming out of the woods. She is a tiny young adult, almost the size of a Beagle(She weighs 23 pounds). She could fit in an oversized pocket…Although quiet in her kennel, Athena is right at her door, ready to be leashed and go! She is a fast runner, doing her business on the way, eying the pigeons, respecting “proper ” peers and answering those who act pushy with her. In playgroups with her kind, she can be assertive and bold. Free in the yard, Athena is one lively gal. She loves treats, sits for them and gratifies me with an award winning smile. Let’s not forget about her non stop wagging tail. She really is the cutest!!. Athena is adorable, a mini mouse, friendly, lively and a little opinionated. She would love, love, love to meet you, brighten your life and be your forever best friend. Athena is at the Manhattan Care Center.
