PROFILE:
Asia is an 11 year old small brown and gray dog who was surrendered by her owner due to pet conflict. Owner stated that she got the dog from her niece about 3 months ago. Asia has no known medical issues.
Owner stated that when around strangers Asia is shy for a few minutes but then she warms up. She has spent time in the home around children and she is relaxed and affectionate. When playing with children and adults she is gentle. Asia has spent time with another small dog and she was respectful. When playing with other small dogs she is gentle. She has not spent time in the home with cats so it is unknown how she will react.
Owner stated that overall Asia behaves well. During loud noises and fireworks she is nervous. If someone was to touch her food treats or toys she is friendly. She isn’t bothered if she is restrained or disturbed while she sleeps. She enjoys being bathed and brushed. She has never had her nails trimmed so it is unknown how she will react. Asia isn’t bothered if someone approaches he house or family member.
Owner described Asia as friendly affectionate and mellow with a medium activity level. When at home she will follow her owner around. She likes to play with balls and squeaky toys. She has been kept mostly indoors and eats dry food. Asia is very much house trained and never has accidents. When using the bathroom outside she will go on the grass or cement. When left alone in the home she is well behaved. She has never been left in the yard so it is unknown how she will react. Asia has been crated and does well for up to 8 hours. Asia knows how to sit and come when called. She is used to brisk walks on the leash when off the leash she will wander but comes back when called.
