12/24/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Hands down, Ashby won my “best face” of the day award. He has the best, most expressive, cutest, seriously funny, and funny serious face ever. His little tongue sticks out sometimes, and sometimes his lip gets caught in a slightly snaggle tooth, and his face is strong and handsome, and you’d never know there’s a huge mushball of love under there. Eager for a walk to go potty, his leash manners are pretty good, he wags his tail as we walk, and although his fur is a bit thin (better nutrition will fix that right up), his physique is rock star…the envy of all the boys! Ashby shows off his sit, softly takes treats, poses for pictures both on leash and off, does a head tilt thing when I make kissy sounds at him, and he’s an active snuggler which melts my heart. Wagging his tail as other dogs pass our pen, in group play he’ll offer correction to a dog who is too playful for his taste. He’s calm and easy, sweet and friendly, and snuggling with him was a high point of my day. It can be the high point of your day every day, so come meet our funny face today and make him your funny face! And I say that with total love! Another volunteer writes: Ashby is such a sweet funny boy. He has the cutest underbite, when he smiles at you a tooth shows. I get him out of the cage and he looks up at me all happy to go on his walk. Immediately when outside he walks up to people all friendly to say hello. He is very outgoing. And he really loved a good cuddle. When I put him back in the cage he was closing his eyes and stomping his back foot enjoying the good scratching under his collar I gave him.
