Yes 134565210A; History : Owner surrender; Subjective: BARH; Observed Behavior – Active, allowed all handling; Objective ; P = WNL; R = WNL; BCS 5/9; EENT: Nuclear sclerosis, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted; Oral Exam: Severe dental disease; PLN: No enlargements noted; H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic; ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; U/G: Spayed – spay scar seen; MSI: Ambulatory x 4, R grade 4/4, L grade 3/4, flea dirt, no masses noted, healthy hair coat; CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Assessment: Geriatric, dental disease, flea dirt, luxated patellas; Prognosis: Good short term prognosis; Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC.

Basic Information:
Ashanti is a 14 year old, small mixed breed female. She was an owner surrender due to the owner having allergies to her and not being able to rehome her. She has no known injuries but is developing cataracts in her eyes. She has not seen a vet recently, and has been in her home since she was a young puppy.
Previously lived with: In home with owner
How is this dog around strangers? Ashanti is relaxed and respectful when strangers come in the home.
How is this dog around children? Ashanti has spent time around young children and is relaxed and tolerant around them.
How is this dog around other dogs? Ashanti has interacted with other dogs and is unbothered by them, due to her age she is not interested in playing with dogs.
How is this dog around cats? Ashanti has not spent time around cats before.
Resource guarding: Ashanti has no resource guarding reported by her owner.
Bite history: Ashanti has no bite history.

Other Notes: Ashanti’s owner has been able to bathe and groom her, but she has not trimmed her nails. She is not bothered by being picked up, pushed off furniture or disturbed while sleeping.

Ashanti is described as being friendly, affectionate and mellow. She spends most of the day laying around but will seek attention when she wants her belly to be rubbed. She has been an indoor dog, sleeps in her own bed, and eats dry food. She is house trained to go both outside and on wee wee pads. She is well behaved when left alone in the house and walks both on and off leash for exercise.
