I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 05/18/2016 from NY 11212, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Helper Dog: A1073622 Armani came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. Upon intake it was reported Armani was a bit nervous but allowed all handling. During SAFER Armani came into the assessment room, with soft body posture, He was friendly and social toward the assessor. He allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Armani was relaxed during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Armani was easy to handle when engaged with the items. Armani appears to be sociable, and did not display any behaviors concerns, so the department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 2. Dog’s eyes are averted. His body posture is fearful and trembles, his tail is low and not moving. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, his tail is tucked, body a bit tense, mouth closed and trembles. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed. Toy 1: No interest. Dog-dog: 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed, and lip neutral.
