06/02/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Due to the behavior demonstrated in the shelter the behavior department believes that Arlington is not an appropriate candidate for SAFER at this time. Arlington has not tolerated handling in the care center. During his medical exam he would lunged and snapped at the technician. In the kennel, Arlington can be seen growling, snarling, lunging and snapping when approaching his kennel. A SAFER assessment will not be conducted due to safety and stress level concerns. In light of this behavior we feel that placement with a New Hope partner who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification is the best option at this time.
06/01/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Arlington was surrendered as a stray so his past behavior around other dogs is unknown. An attempt was made to remove Arlington from his kennel but due to Arlington’s reactivity he was unable to be removed at this time.
