01/22/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Ariel is so cute in her “little black dress”. She is right at her door, all ears and eyes, friendly looking and asking politely to come out. I can see the hint of a tap dance. I like her engaging face, her bright and shiny almond shaped eyes, and her ears and head that move with the sounds. She is pretty and so feminine. Ariel is leashed at once. She walks to the exit but as we have to remain in the ward, I stop her in her course. We have to stay in, Ariel. I am sorry… “No worry” she answers. “Let’s have treats, that will make up for a walk..at least, for today.” What a good girl…I did not expect less from her. Ariel is a bit on the thin side although her coat is beautiful. She was still lactating just yesterday and her body needs to recover with plenty of good food. She sits obediently as I ask, as she knows what will come next…the turkey jerkies. Ariel is quite hungry and yet, she does not guard her bowl of food. Her tail is now non stop wagging. Treats, company, caresses, this is how this princess in rags spells happiness. She is not asking for much, right, nothing that we can not give her. Ariel is a good dog. She is smart and knows her friends. She loves people and she is even good in playgroups with her peers. A safe home, the love of a master, the warmth of a family…this spells Disneyworld to Ariel . Make the magic come true, come to the Manhattan Care Center, adopt Ariel and make her your forever best friend.
