A volunteer writes: It was like there was an electrical current between Apallo’s one blue eye and the ball that lay on the ground in the outside pen. It was as if I was seeing a child’s eyes light up at Christmastime. Apallo eagerly engaged in a game of fetch, running after the ball, and bringing it back with gusto. But he seems just as content to admire his toys, chewing on them, picking up one and then another, and even trying to put multiple toys in his mouth at once. Surrendered for housing issues, it’s not a surprise then, that his former owner stated that he loves tennis balls. He even goes on to say that Apallo enjoys taking warm baths WITH his tennis ball! I can almost picture him, soaking in a bubble filled tub, and in lieu of a rubber ducky, a green ball floats on top of the water as Apallo looks on admiringly. His grooming doesn’t stop there, either. Apallo loves to be brushed and it even helps him fall asleep! Awwww! Apallo’s notes also indicate that he’s super “social,” is good with children ages 7 and up, likes other dogs (he knows to play more tenderly with smaller dogs) and is curious and gentle around cats. With me, he was constantly wiggling, super friendly and an all around happy guy! Apallo may be recognized for that gorgeous blue eye of his, but it’s obvious his beauty is more than skin deep. Ask to meet him today!
